Turkey’s first museum 1891, houses over one million artifacts belonging various cultures collected from the imperial territories. Besides archaeological artifacts, one can enjoy seeing various valuable objects from the pre-islamic Arabian Peninsula, Mesopotamia, Egypt and Anatolia in the Ancient Orient Museum as well as some outstanding tile and pottery samples by Seljuk and Ottoman in the Tiled Kiosk Museum.

The Istanbul Archaeology Museums is a group of three archaeological museums located within the walls of Topkapi Palace. It houses over one million objects that represent almost all of the eras and civilizations in world history
